Hyun Zoo Chung is both a painter and an art therapist. She graduated from Ewha Womans University in 2002 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts formerly in Environmental Design and later obtained her Master's degree in 2015 from Lesley University in Boston, USA, a renowned institution where art therapy research and development initially took root. Upon returning to Korea, she embarked on her career as an artist, cultivating the ability to express herself freely through art based on a variety of experiments and experiences in art therapy. In 2017, she founded 'ZoO's Art Studio,' and in 2018, she established the 'Facing My Heart Expressive Art Psychotherapy Institute,' which she operates alongside her own gallery. In 2019, she renamed it 'Arukah Arts' and earnestly initiated the 'Expressive Arts Therapy Studio' to make a positive impact on the world through various expressive arts therapies such as music therapy, dance therapy, and drama therapy. Currently, her primary focus is on art psychotherapy through abstract drawing.
